             Adult Crisis Services

 Philosophy

Adult Crisis Services at La Frontera Center support all clients' ability to reside in the community with support services.  Acknowledging at times that a client will need extra support, Crisis Services staff provide immediate assistance and evaluation to determine the emergent needs of the client and address those needs in the most timely manner possible with the goal of returning the client to the community.

Services

  • Psychiatric Health Facility― The Psychiatric Health Facility (PHF) provides acute crisis stabilization and Title 36 treatment to adults in need of short-term psychiatric intervention in a locked facility.  Treatment at the PHF is directed toward symptom stabilization and resolution of behaviors that might be harmful to one's self or others.

  • A-Team Crisis Response Services― The goal of the A-Team is to prevent unnecessary hospitalizations by offering support and services available through crisis stabilization groups 5 days per week.  The team also provides outreach services 7 days a week and through evenings to clients via welfare checks and can offer transportation to groups, if needed.
  • Intensive Recovery TeamThe Intensive Recovery Team (IRT) provides field-based services for persons with a serious mental illness using the Adult Recovery Team model.
